- The agreement will guarantee 118 supply points with an aggregate consumption of 5.6 GWh
- The Company has the concessions of the Llobregat, Ter, Aro and Transversal axes.
Barcelona, October 28, 2019.- Endesa will begin supplying this 2019 electricity from 100% renewable sources to Cedinsa, the leading company in Catalonia in infrastructure investment and management, specifically, in the shadow toll concession system and the second in number of kilometers of highway managed. What is new is that Cedinsa will receive exclusively green energy. The aggregate consumption will be 5.6 GWh, of which 95% corresponds to the consumption of the security elements of the 49 tunnels managed.
The agreement includes the scope of the electric service to the four road axes managed by Cedinsa Eje del Llobregat (C16 Sant Fruitós de Bages – Berga), the Axis of the Ter (C17 Centelles-Ripoll), the Aro Axis (Maçanet- Playa de Aro ) and the Transversal Axis (C25 Cervera Caldes de Malavella). Its territorial capillarity covers from Plana de Lleida, central Catalonia and the Costa Brava center.
With this type of initiatives, the commitment of both companies to the environment and sustainable development becomes palpable. In fact, the supply of electricity obtained from renewable energy sources is one of Cedinsa’s environmental stakes to sustainably use natural resources, which together with energy efficiency are part of the Company’s sustainability policy.
